Our meat is butchered, cured and aged on site. We know exactly what goes in each piece and where it's from. We strive to maximise the most satisfying flavours and textures, so that you get the best possible product. Because we produce in small batches, the range of cured or butchered meats we have varies from day to day. However, we always keep a stock of our mouth watering sausages which you can buy online as well as in store. We source our cheese from local farmers as well as the best international producers of specialty and finely crafted cheeses. It's the nature of this food type that our stock is often changing - though you can expect to always find a range of cow, goat and sheep cheese - aged in a variety of ways (be it wrapped in nettle or rolled in ash) on our counter. The art of preserving is an ancient tradition, emerging from food culture that predates preservation by refrigeration or chemicals. Most importantly it produces some of the most interesting and delicious flavours around! We love to make these treats at Picnic. Each jar contains our hand crafted preserves, made from seasonal, local or wild ingredients. We label each with exactly what we used to make them so tasty.
